COMPLETE TELEFERICO TOUR + CITY WALKING TOUR

Thumbs up!

Welcome to La Paz World’s Wonder City, the Capital of Bolivia and the highest Capital in the World.

It is situated at an elevation of approximately 3,650 meters (11,975 feet) above sea level. Nestled dramatically in a deep valley surrounded by the high-altitude plateau of the Altiplano, the city extends down into a canyon formed by the Choqueyapu River, with its Illimani Mountain as its own guardian at the South of the City.

This geographic aspect provides the perfect scenery to appreciate it from the Air.

Telefericos system were brought to La Paz to bit the city’s challenging topography, providing a more efficient way of transportation for residents navigating the steep hills and deep valleys. Just as a sample, workers wanting to go from the centre to El Alto used to do it in 1 hr. or more. Nowadays they can do it in just 8-16 minutes! On this tour we will show you 3 of the 10 lines that cover all the City like a spider web.

On top of doing 3 Teleferico lines, we will take you on a Walking tour of the Centre.

TOUR OVER VIEW

The teleferico network comprises of 10 lines that cover the entire City like a spider web. On this tour we will cover 3 of them, which we consider are the most important to show you the highlights of La Paz, it starts in the heart of the City and following the clock hands we will do first the Purple Line to continue with the Silver Line to then finally end with the Red Line. Once we finish the Red Line, we will walk into the bustling Centre of La Paz visiting historical places where you will evidence the rich cultural heritage of La Paz influenced by indigenous Aymara and Quechua traditions as well as Spanish colonial history. Modern and colonial architecture will make of this tour a memorable experience.
